An in-line suction system that removes tracheal secretions without disconnecting the patient from the ventilator. Consists of a suction catheter encased in a protective sleeve that attaches to an endotracheal or tracheostomy tube, maintaining ventilation and PEEP while reducing exposure to fluids.
